Protected older dogs should be cared for in the same way as younger dogs. But unfortunately, due to their age and often neglected appearance, they are not seen by many people.
Mark Imhoff, a professional dog trainer, is trying to change that. He visits animal shelters in New York and offers free bathing and grooming services to old dogs who finally find homes.
Imhoff’s inspiration came from his fiancée.” She didn’t want me to do soulless work and she knew the joy I feel when interacting with animals,” says Imhoff.
She added: “It’s refreshing to see the big change in almost every dog and their love will be passed on to the next owner.
