Unaware that his owner has died, a loyal Labrador named Toto has been lying outside a hospital in Argentina for more than seven days, awaiting the return of his best human friend.
According to reports, the six-year-old dog remained outside the door of Pablo Soria Hospital in the city of San Salvador de Jujuy in Argentina for more than a week. The cause of death of its owner is not known.
Toto’s owner has reportedly asked his relatives to take the dog to the hospital as he wants to say a final goodbye.
However, when he passed away, his relatives forgot to take Toto. The poor dog remained at the hospital door, sitting for his late master.
A member of a local animal welfare organization said they are currently looking for a new owner for Toto.
The person who wants to adopt him should have a closed house because it is possible that the dog will return to the hospital to wait for his owner again.
Toto, respectful and welcoming to all who caress him, was treated by a veterinarian. The dog must undergo a medical intervention on one of its legs and will also be neutered.
There’s a reason we call dogs man’s best friend. They give out pure love and literally ask for nothing in return.
In Japan, a dog named Hachiko became famous for meeting his master every day at a train station. Almost a decade after the death of its owner, it continued to make the trip.
Another loyal dog, Sadie, was crushed when her closest companion, Andy Beaulieu, died of a heart attack.
The 13-year-old Border Collie-Dalmatian-Shepherd mix was so sad she didn’t eat for ten days.
During the memorial service, people were moved when Sadie stood up to see her best human friend once and for all.
