Drivers were amazed when they saw what a policeman was doing on the highway
Traffic on one of the highways in Granada, Spain had to be stopped for a few minutes so local police officers could rescue an abandoned cat.
The kitten was on the side of a highway and to retrieve it, traffic had to be stopped.
The officers set up a roadblock and one of the officers was trying to grab the kitten.
And because of this rescue action, on the road, there was a traffic jam.
But the drivers waited patiently until the little cat was picked up.
It was not easy to catch the little animal, because he was scared and tried to run away all the time, but luckily the policeman managed to get the cat back.
The furry cub was taken to a shelter vet and found to have some health issues.
But the police were happy that now the animal is in good hands.
After all, the local police in Granada posted a Tweet where they told the story of the kitten rescue in which they indicated that the highway had to be temporarily closed to save a cute kitten.
“We have stopped traffic for the safety of the cat and the drivers,” the officers added.
