A group of friends at the park find a tiny puppy hiding in the grass.

One morning, a group of friends were walking their dogs in an Oklahoma park when they suddenly noticed a small dog lying in the grass. They took him right away They kept him for two weeks, posting him on the internet and looking everywhere to see if anyone could miss him, but they couldn’t find anything, so they started looking for his new family.

Katy and Jacob are friends from the same club who found the pup, and in the months that followed, they actually looked to adopt a dog. Their friends asked them if they wanted to adopt a puppy and, although they knew nothing about it, they felt that he was destined to be their dog.

They decided to name the dog Strider and adopted him into their family. At first he was very shy and didn’t really want to play. It’s as if he doesn’t know how to do it, as if no one has ever bothered to teach him. He was about 10 weeks old at the time, and after taking him to the vet, it was determined that he was likely a ginger speedster/beagle mix, and not ok. become very big.

“When he was 6 months old he weighed almost 40 kilos so we thought he couldn’t be a beagle but we were sure he was a redhead because of his body and his color,” Bywater explained. „We bought a DNA test kit online and it showed us that although he was red-maned, he was also a great Pyrenean.“ Of course, this new news has not changed our opinion of him and he remains a member of our family.” At eight months, he weighs around 50 kilos and we don’t know exactly how tall he will be.

Strider was a big surprise, but her new parents didn’t change anything. Every day it seems to get bigger and bigger, and every day it comes out of its shell more and more.

He’s no longer the scared pup they found in the park, but a playful, goofy dog who loves to run around and play with his family whenever he can.

“After a few weeks he came out of his shell,” Bywater said. „He plays all the time – it’s hard to decide if food or play is his favourite. He loves to run around, play with all the toys he can find, tug of war and fight on the couch or in bed. He is very spoiled, sleeps with us every night and we wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world.”
